We wanted to credit the many support groups we’ve uncovered within our blog as well. Clicking on the below images will take you to the relevant page(s).
Egg Donation Australia or EDA exists in two different spheres: both an online Facebook group and also an online forum. This community exists for those who are both looking to receive and looking to donate eggs and greatly assists everyone getting to know one another.
Fertility Connections Australia is very similar to EDA in the way it exists in two different spheres; both an online Facebook group and also an online forum (known as Fertility Connections). This community exists for those who are both looking for a surrogate and those looking to be surrogates. It is a way for Intended Parents (IPs) and Surrogates to meet and get to know one another.
Surrogacy Australia supports Australians who are planning on using a Surrogate, or who are already parents via surrogacy arrangements. They are an incorporated charity, registered with the Australian Charities and Non-Profits Commission.
They have recently introduced a new support service (called SASS) which is a professional service based on best practice models. It is designed to support both Surrogates and Intended Parents in forming well-suited teams and to support those teams over their surrogacy journeys with inbuilt counselling, mentoring and expenses management support.
It has been really quite a challenge understanding all of the differing legalities involved in the process of both egg donation and surrogacy. We have found Sarah Jefford to be really helpful in answering many questions via her highly informative website and podcast (see below). Sarah is a surrogacy lawyer and has also been through the process herself, making her a bit of lived expert. She has also created a very helpful Australian Surrogacy Handbook which lays out a lot of the information clearly.

Circle Surrogacy is an international surrogacy agency located in Boston, USA. Circle Surrogacy is one of many surrogacy agencies in the United States but the only one we have had a conversation with.
